Group: Lack of interest in present circumstances

Flowering time: July August September

Indications: Day-dreamers Lack of interest in present circumstances

Negative state: Sleepy states of disinterest.  The mind is elsewhere. The person is subject to day-dreaminess, disinterest in life, inattentive. They can appear vague and forgetful and/or lacking in vitality.

Positive Attributes: A lively interest in being here now in the present. Wide awake. Here I am. Focused attention. The flower helps a person to land in the here and now and take a renewed interest in participating in life.

Notes: Not yet found – Clematis is far more noticeable in the winter where the vine drapes its winter plumage luxuriantly over the neighbouring trees in hedgerows.  I seem to spend winter drives and outings spotting clematis and making a mental note to visit the spot in the spring or summer to see the flowers. Almost every day for months we have driven past a curtain of traveller’s joy falling gracefully over a beech hedge in brickmakers lane…again in autumn we saw a low growing bunch of joy in a pub garden near alfriston and thirdly there is a tiny flourish of joy in the car park where we park nearly every day. So 2017 will be the year we actually make a kirlian photograph of the sleepy Clematis, Joy of Travellers.

A person in the Clematis state appears to be living in another realm

Update on 9-07-17 the small vine in the carpark is flowering merrily so yesterday we photographed a small sprig which produced a beautiful picture of this wayside vine.
